First of all, congratulations, Americans from the rest of the world. And congratulations to the world as well.

In other news, I've bought new tyres with spikes for my bike from Nokia. Biking with them feels like going on a gravel road all the time, but I'll learn. My bike is black and normally has gray tyres, and thus has a pretty dignified look. Not anymore. With the black spiked tyres, I'd say it's now much more punk:

Simons bike

The good thing with this is that I've now though of a proper name of the bike. In it's summer incarnation, it's known as Lord Nelson, while the spiked winter variant is known as Iggy. In case you were wondering, the background is not a savanna, but Årstafältet. I'm lucky to bike past this beautiful field twice each day, and I often see pheasants and other animals there.

Spiked winter tyres for bikes rock! I have used them for a decade now, and it makes all the difference in the mid-Sweden climate we so enjoy. A slippery morning icecap on roads is not a problem anymore :)

Testing post with OpenID ID. To see if it shows me with a useful name.

Seems to work fine! It would be nice if the link went to your blog instead, but perhaps that's possible to configure somewhere.

And I'm happy with the spikes so far, although it has been "too warm" to have real use of them :-)
